As their egos are never an impediment to progress all Sevens constantly strive towards self-improvement. Such superficial behaviour will of course not be experienced by Seven partners. They show a strong aversion towards pettiness, hypocrisy and false fronts put on by people. A Seven couple will not be seen demonstrating their affection in public or resorting to joyful or sorrowful outbursts of emotion. They are exceptionally duty-conscious people but do not fuss over their loved ones, nor do they like being fussed over. Seven partners will therefore not encroach upon each other’s privacy or individuality. It is not secrecy or evasiveness that holds them back, but rather the fact that they just do not feel the need to share their private affairs. There is a very private side to the Seven personality which prevents them from sharing confidences. The attention of younger Sevens may be focused on material and economic aims but behind these, higher impulses of a spiritual nature lie dormant, which could be triggered off at any stage of their lives. Speaking in abstract terms a Seven can be alone, but alone with God, that is, in whatever conception of divinity they may hold. On the contrary, they need special time to commune with themselves. ![]() They are not bored with, nor do they fear their own company. While most other personality types need communication with others for self-expression and fulfilment Sevens are content with their own thoughts. ![]() All Sevens are introspective and contemplative by nature and the silence a Seven partner will observe as they go about their business will be an unspoken token of the understanding and appreciation of each other’s company. A double Seven partnership will be slowed down in a sense as neither will act on impulse or on a superficial assessment of a situation. Besides having a naturally reserved nature other typical Seven characteristics which will be brought into play in a Seven/Seven partnership will be the faculty of discrimination and the urge to probe deep into the nature of things – past and present. The aloofness of the Seven personality reduces or becomes more pronounced according to the degree of support the Seven receives from the actuating power of the 1 vibration. However, the 1 vibration in the birth month, while not changing the Seven character, could determine whether 7 attributes are used in ways favourable or unfavourable to the individual and in the Seven’s relationship with others. Vibrations from these other areas of influence may extend the Seven’s range of expression but not change the essential Seven nature. There are several unique attributes of the 7 vibration that are so strong that the fundamental personality of a Seven is not appreciably affected by the vibration of the birth month or other areas of influence. If they do, and a relationship follows, the unusual similarities in their temperaments should yield an extraordinary mixture of advantages as well as a few disadvantages. Extraordinary circumstances will be needed for two Sevens to get to know each other. An outgoing and perceptive personality type usually takes the first steps to get to know a Seven. The typical Seven, born on the 7th day, does not usually take the initiative to communicate with anyone. Sevens are easily picked out in company by their reserved and distant manner. While material goods and worldly power may be acquired and enjoyed by 7 subjects they do not let these take possession of them. Egotism, egocentricity and acquisitive urges have been replaced to a large extent by a measure of aloofness and detachment. The difference is in a change of attitudes. ![]() At the same time, physical, material and practical aspects of life have not been affected, as the 7 vibration is a power that operates on the physical plane of expression. ![]() In relation to the evolutionary process of humankind it signifies a stage in which the spiritual element is no longer in a state of relative latency, and has surfaced as an active force in various conscious and unconscious ways, according to the background of individuals subject to its influence. The number 7 has always been recognised by ancient civilisations – even as it is today – as the symbol of mystery or the number of God.
